understanding which Uses are supported
With the exception of Spectrasyn 2, all of the Synthetics products or preparations sold by ExxonMobil Chemical affiliates in Europe are deemed in accordance with directive 67/548/EC, directive 1999/45/EC and directive 1272/2008 (CLP) to be non-hazardous and further do not meet the criteria for being declared a PBT or vPvB. Therefore there is no obligation under the REACH legislation to have to communicate uses along the supply chain.
For customers of Spectrasyn 2 only
Please follow the Steps 1- 3 to determine whether your Use is included as a Supported Use in our REACH registration and in the new extended Safety Data Sheet.
Step 1: Open the relevant "Generic use mapping” table for Spectrasyn 2 and locate the columns on the right hand side, headed “Products Covered” to find the exact product(s) you purchase.
Step 2: The supported Uses (titles and a short description) are located on the left hand side of the table under the heading GES Title/Scope. The scope of each title is described using the applicable REACH Use Descriptors: Sector of Use (SU), Process Category (PROC), Chemical Product Category (PC) and Environmental Release Category (ERC) .
Step 3: A tick mark under the ‘Products Covered’ column will indicate that ExxonMobil is planning to include this use in its registration dossier.
