What is ExxonMobil doing to implement REACH?

To ensure compliance, ExxonMobil has created a REACH integration team that is working to integrate activities across the Corporation’s business lines. 

Implementation teams have also been established in those ExxonMobil businesses, (including Chemicals, Refining and Supply, Lubes and Specialties) that will be most impacted by REACH and Single Points of Contact have been designated for each Chemicals Business Unit and each European manufacturing site. Through these contacts, we will also be working with our customers and suppliers to meet the registration requirements.

These teams are developing tools to help ExxonMobil and its customers and suppliers implement REACH with minimal disruption to our operations. These tools include internal and external communication, training materials, IT Tools, letter templates, questionnaires, as well as help and advice on REACH related issues.

Additionally, ExxonMobil continues to be actively involved in advocacy efforts and in the development of REACH guidance documents (RIPs) through our involvement with European industry groups.
